My first memory of singing is as a chorus member in my elementary school’s production of “Oliver”. I was in grade four and I played a “Londoner” and I remember loving the experience of being in a musical and singing my heart out – while twirling my umbrella on stage. I continued to sing in musicals all through elementary and high school and in my twenties I fulfilled a childhood dream by appearing in a production at Theatre Under The Stars. I wanted to share my love of singing with others so I went to the University of Victoria and got my Education degree in theatre and choral music. From there I went on to teach students of all ages – from 5 to 95 – and I still continue to teach adults both singing and dancing.
