New members are joining every term and have nothing but good things to say!
This fun co-ed community choir is for adult singers of all levels - no audition required. Many members of this group have been singing with Allison for a number of years and continue to be dedicated to the group.
The goals of this group are to learn proper singing technique, to learn how to sing a bit of harmony, to learn how to blend voices with other singers and, most importantly, TO HAVE FUN!
This choir sings primarily Broadway show tunes with a few classic pop/rock songs thrown in for variety. Our practices are lighthearted and we always round out the term with a fun-filled recital and reception for choir members, family and friends.
New members are always welcome to join the group in January and September.
The Broadway Choir meets on Monday evenings (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) on West 12th Avenue, near Granville Street in Vancouver.
We meet every Monday from January to June and then from September to December. We don't have practices on long weekends and we break for the summer to re-charge. :-)
Membership fees are for the year (September to June) and are based on a full year commitment.
There are two payment options for membership fees that cover September to June.
$420.00 if paid in full at time of registration (September)
$220.00 due at time of registration (September) and
$220.00 due at time of registration (September) by post-dated cheque dated for February
For members who join the choir in January, membership fees for the term (January to June) are:
$280.00 if paid in full at time of registration (January)
$150.00 due at time of registration (January) and
$150.00 due at time of registration (January) by post-dated cheque for April
New members are encouraged to drop in to the choir in January and/or September to try it out before committing to the year/term.
Drop-in fee: $20.00

“I first met Allison in January of 2005 when I joined a night school course offered to all levels of singers, including beginners. The group was made up of participants of varying degrees of singing experience. Within just a few weeks, Allison was able to create a well blended group of voices . . . With well blended voices we confidently put on a mini recital at the end of our course.”
